This makes it ideal for improving a variety of skin concerns, including lines, wrinkles, scars, and uneven skin tone.
How does Contour TRL work?
Contour TRL (Tunable Resurfacing Laser) uses a specialized tunable laser to precisely remove the outer layers of facial skin. This targeted removal stimulates the body’s natural healing process and promotes collagen production, a protein essential for skin elasticity and firmness. By inflicting a controlled “injury” to the skin, the treatment encourages the growth of new, healthier skin cells, effectively addressing issues like fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and uneven skin tone. The precision of the tunable laser allows for customization based on individual skin needs, making it a versatile option for various skin types and concerns.

What to know after your CONTOUR TRL?
Keep it clean and moist with ointment, no need to over cleanse. A thin layer of ointment should be on the skin at all times, this is a band aid for your skin.
- Don’t scrub or use abrasives, gently use clean fingers and soft gauze. Use cool water while showering and cleansing. Keep shampoo off face by tilting the head back in the shower.
- Wear head bands to keep your hair from sticking to your face.
- Use the Aquaphor for the first 6 days or unless directed differently. Begin slowly to introduce the moisturizer provided by mixing it with Aquaphor.
- Avoid sun and heat exposure at all costs. Please do not use sunscreen for the first 5 days or until your skin has formed a new epithelial layer.
- It is common to be itchy while healing, do not scratch. Take Benadryl or Pepcid AC tablets as needed (contact me as needed).
- It is important to not let a layer of sludge or dead skin cells remain on the skin. A vinegar soak can help this. Take a bowl of clean cool water and place 1-2 capfuls of white vinegar, soak a clean hand towel in the solution wring it out and place it over your face.
- If you notice any abnormal areas, please contact your provider immediately.
- Expect severe swelling in some areas. This can last a few days to a week depending on the depth.
- Redness will be present and, in some cases, can take time to subside. It will improve over time.
- Crusting, oozing, and bleeding can occur for the first few days. You still must cleanse as directed. Cleansing may be uncomfortable for the first few days.
- You can have some anxiety and depression while healing. It is a long process. Remember how great you will look!! Your hard work and commitment will pay off.
- Please be aware of your skin at all times. If you have unusual pain, itching, bumps or prolonged crusting and oozing. Please contact immediately. Complications can be handled and avoided.
- You must check in with me every day, even on weekends. We are both in this together.
